Yesterday morning spent drawing weeping Angels in Yesterday morning spent drawing weeping Angels in the peace of St Ewe Church during June’s Sketchclub - ancient and chiselled with beautiful grain to the work - there are always fresh flowers quietly delivered and arranged by caretakers of this lovely place. 

(All welcome to come and draw for an hour or so at 11am on the first Wednesday of the month)

Flora & Fauna from magic May: the tiny waxy beauti Flora & Fauna from magic May: the tiny waxy beauties that are Bryony flowers, Bluebells & a Beast, Stitchwort in morning sunlight, broken Blackbird eggs, the ethereal beauty that is Ladies Smock, a patch of pretty Dog Violets, a Common Carpet on an unfurling Fern, frothy Cowparsley lining the hedge so sweetly scented, the feathery marvel that is the Twenty Plume Moth, lime green spidering on a Hazel branch, sunlight through scarlet Rose thorns, a Clouded Silver seeking shade, Holly flowers and tiny Winters berries, darling buds of pink tinged May, a Lackey moth caterpillar lost on the table, a big patch of white and red Campion, a jewel like boy crab spider hunting, and the fantastic ghost bells of Penny Buns! What a riot of life!
