Beautiful, abundant June! Month of: Blue skies an Beautiful, abundant June!  Month of: Blue skies and Elderflower lace, green Alexander seeds enjoyed by Snails, raindrops on funnel Spider webs (legs lurking in the depths), sweet cordial making for Winter, amorous Common Red Soldier Beetles at a Hogweed party, psychedelic Tufted Vetch and a bright Blue Tailed Damselfly, Comma wings, Bramble flowers so perfectly pink, the pale primrose green Wood Sage flowers and brassy bubblegum pink Yarrow, tiny yellow suns of Nipplewort, almond scented frothy heaven that is Meadowsweet, purple pink trumpets of Wood Betony and tiny fragrant stars of Hedgebedstraw, and a buried Hill Fort (ploughed into the field by a farmer in the 50s) underneath lime green barley and little fluffy clouds.  Glorious.

July Sketch Club today at St Ewe Church, (always t July Sketch Club today at St Ewe Church, (always the first Wednesday of the month 11-12.30 and all welcome), the start of a clumsy watercolour drawing in the peace of this beautiful old place.  Bright outside and the churchyard is now full of Summer’s wildflowers, including a riotous hot pink Bindweed, fantastically named Convolvulus Dubius, (so ObsIdentify tells me).
